Ripley Light Yacht Club is host to Charleston’s 2008 Fifty-Fifty/Petrel tournament June 11th, 13th, and 14th.
The tournament kicks off Wednesday evening with registration and the Captain’s meeting on the yacht club’s upper deck. Dinner is catered by Charleston Bay Gourmet and musical entertainment is provided by Joe Wilson. Fishing officially kicks off on Friday at 8am. Weigh-in is from 5-7pm each night and will be celebrated with dinner and live music. Fifty-Fifty prizes include 60% of entry fee totals for first place Dolphin and 60% of entry fee total for first place Wahoo. Petrel tournament prizes range from 60% for first place to 5% of entry fee totals for fourth place. Palmetto Ford will also be giving away an F250 Super Duty for breaking the State Record Dolphin. Smaller items including local art, apparel, fishing equipment and more are available for raffle. Grand slam sponsors include Haddrell’s Point Tackle and Supply, Toler’s Cove Marina, and Ripley Light Yacht Club.
Previous 50/50 winners include Dan Geiger on Stony V and Taylor Lunceford on Salty Dog. The Petrel winner last year was Capt. Dan Woody on Fishwrapper. For more information, please visit www.fiftyfiftytournament.com.
